Tea Blends

Our tea blends are very important. Which is why all our teas are lovingly handpicked and blended to perfection before they make their way into our collections of wonderfully memorable tea tins and tea caddies. Here's a little taster of the contents: 

English Breakfast Tea Bags:

English breakfast tea is black CTC PD (pekoe dust) tea grown in Western  hills of Sri Lanka over 4000 feet in altitude. This blend is usually described as full bodied, rich in flavour and high in aroma while giving a strong cup to go with Milk and sugar. Cup colour is bright and red. Around 2.5% of caffeine level is present.

English Afternoon Tea Bags:

This is also a black CTC PD tea also grown in the Western hills of Sri Lanka over 4000 feet in altitude. This blend is full bodied, rich in flavour and has a very good aroma and it is slightly lesser in strength than the English breakfast cup. The cup colour is brighter. Around 2.5% of caffeine level present.

English Breakfast Tea Loose Leaf Tea:

This tea is a CTC BP 1 well-made larger size granule style with bold round particles. Tea grown in the Western hills of Sri Lanka over 4000 feet altitude. This blend too gives rich, full bodied brighter tea cup with higher aroma. Cup colour is bright red.2.5% of caffeine level present.

English Afternoon Tea Loose Leaf Tea:

This tea is also CTC BP 1 well-made larger size granule style with bold round particles. Tea grown in the Western hills of Sri Lanka over 4000 feet altitude. This blend too gives rich, full bodied brighter tea cup with higher aroma while giving lesser cup strength than the English breakfast BP1. Cup colour is bright and red. 2.5% of caffeine level present.

Earl Grey Loose Leaf Tea

Flowery broken orange pekoe tea, the leaf is slightly wiry, less twisted broken leaf. Tea grown between 2000 to 4000 feet high altitudes in the Western hills. Tea is quickly brewed and has a rich aromatic scent and mellow taste. After adding the natural bergamot flavour to the blend, the tea is turned to sweet floral sour taste of bergamot while giving light red cup colour. 2.5% of caffeine level present.

Earl Grey Tea Bags

This is BOPF tea grown between 4000 to 5000 feet high altitudes in the Dimbula region in Sri Lanka. Tea produces a fine golden orange hue in the cup and its refreshingly mellow. However, after adding the natural bergamot flavour, this will also give a sweet floral sour taste of bergamot flavour, while giving the aroma of Dimbula with brighter cup colour. 2.5% of caffeine level present.
